New heritage noticeboard for Victoria Gardens

Local councillors have approved plans to install a heritage-style public noticeboard on Victoria Gardens on the south side of Sutton Green. The sign, which has just been erected, will help give the small park its’ own ‘identity’ separate from Sutton Green on the other side of Bushey Road.

The sign will carry public notices and information about community events, including the upcoming Sutton Green Fayre. Last year, the council installed a new path, benches, litter bin and did extensive planting and pruning to give the area a ‘secluded square’ atmosphere. I’m delighted at the way the area is shaping up!
